Individual Music Instruction
Individual music instruction is available to children age seven and older and to adults. We provide instruction in piano, guitar, violin, woodwinds, drums, and voice. Instruction is provided at beginning, intermediate, and advanced levels. Students must provide their own instruments for lessons and at-home practice. Pianos are provided for lessons.
Lessons are thirty minutes in length and are held once per week. Classes are held Mondays through Thursdays from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm and Saturdays from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, based on availability.

Music Wiz
This fun music class uses interactive computer games to teach and improve musicianship skills. You can become a better musician regardless of your instrument, increase your knowledge of music theory, chord structure, harmony and rhythm. Tuition: $15 per class

Youth Orchestras
LAMAS has two orchestras, which offer student musicians the opportunity to play and perform in a youth orchestra.
- LAMAS Junior Youth Orchestra (Ages 7-11)
Conducted by Anna Antonian and Thomas McEvilley. Rehearsals are on Saturdays from 3:00 pm to 4:15 pm.
- LAMAS Youth Orchestra (Ages 12 and older)
Conducted by Dr. Gideon Rubin. Orchestra rehearsals are on Saturdays from 4:15 pm to 6:00 pm.
LAMAS Choir (Ages 7–16)
The LAMAS choral ensemble is open to boys and girls ages 7 to 16. Students in the Choir sing music of all major styles while learning music skills and performing at school and community events. The Choir meets on Sundays from 12:30 pm to 2:00 pm. Enrollment requires a placement interview and audition.
Tuition for students:
- Currently enrolled in other LAMAS classes is $15 per month.
- Not enrolled in other LAMAS classes is $25 per month.
- Enrolled in other LAMAS classes and receiving financial assistance is $5 per month.
Early Childhood Music
Our early childhood music class helps preschoolers and younger children to develop music appreciation, vocal and rhythmic skills in a fun and educational format.
Music Playground (Ages 2–5)
A parent must accompany each child. This class introduces children to the joy of making music through chants, sing-a-longs, creative movement and musical games. The class is limited to 10 students. Tuition: $15 per class
