For some students, studying an arts discipline will lead to a professional career. For others, it may be the motivating factor that encourages them to pursue higher education and success in their chosen professions. The school supports and encourages each student to develop his or her artistic and educational strengths, including individual competence, self-discipline, teamwork, and personal responsibility.
The school is open for instruction weekdays, from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and on Saturdays from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. We offer individual and group classes in music, art, dance and drama, from introductory level to advanced, taught by a diverse group of instructors, many graduates and affiliates of area universities. Over the summer, we sponsor the Camp LAMAS Summer Arts Enrichment Program, an eight-week multi-arts education program for youth 7–14 years of age.
