Student Spotlight: Camila Salvador

Disciplines (Past/Present): Piano, Ballet, Singing

Camila Salvador, age 10, has been an active student with LAMusArt since April 2019. She is multi-talented, having learned a wide range of artistic disciplines such as piano, ballet, and voice/choir. Her favorite class is ballet and, when we asked her if there was a teacher that influenced her significantly, she mentioned Ms. Carissa, her very first ballet teacher.

When we asked Camila about her LAMusArt experience she said, “It changed me to become more confident.” Camila’s favorite memory was when she performed a ballet solo on stage. Camila likes to share with her friends about the school, telling them that here she feels comfortable, and that this is a place where one can develop artistic skills with the help of the teachers that have “lots of patience.” She is always happy to see her artistic improvements!

Camila loves to be onstage and has performed ballet at the ELAC Proscenium Theatre Stage and, when classes shifted online due to campus closures, was excited to perform for the camera at the Spring Recital and - just recently - the Winter Concert, streaming December 11. Camila has so much enthusiasm for the arts and is a great role model for her peers. We see why she dreams of becoming the president of the United States! We are excited to continue watching her grow as a strong talented woman, ready to change our nation!
