Kathleen Jequinto, Development Manager, graduated from UC Santa Barbara with a B.A. in Communication and a minor in Ethnomusicology. She was born and raised in the South Bay of Los Angeles, where she trained in voice, piano and theatre for 11 years, winning awards for her performance overseas and locally in both concentrations.
The arts played a major role throughout her formative years, so she grew determined to help pave the same pathway for youth to engage in the arts. By way of concert marketing and performance, Kathleen found a way to bring music into the lives of others in a life-changing way when she began working with her theatre alma mater, Arts Alive. Kathleen focused on collaborative partnerships with families, schools, individuals and organizations to positively impact the lives of children who would not otherwise have these opportunities.
She still performs as a vocalist with The Fabulous Esquires Big Band reviving charts and music from the classical swing era and never ceasing to learn and challenge herself. Kathleen is fired up to be part of the LA Music and Art School mission to bring her years of experience in arts education and love for the arts into her daily work.
