Billie Rae Vinson


Billie Rae Vinson is an art educator and museum professional currently living and working in Los Angeles. With over ten years of experience in the Museum Education field, she has gained expertise and developed a skill set that reflects her passion for art, artists, and creativity learning strategies. She was previously the Senior Coordinator of Family Programs at the Whitney Museum of American Art for over six years. There, she designed tours, workshops, interpretive materials, large-scale events and hands-on art making programs for a wide range of audiences. She has an MA in Critical Writing and Curatorial Practice from Chelsea College of Art and Design in London and an undergraduate degree in Fine Art. Billie was a Brooklyn Museum Education Fellow before joining the Whitney in 2012. Prior to moving to New York in 2011, she lived in London and worked as a freelancer at the Tate Britain in adult, teen, family and school programs
