Eric Gold has been teaching and performing drums for over 20 years. His passion for drumming began at the age of 14 when he started taking drum lessons and in less than a year he joined a band and began playing shows throughout high school. He continued his education earning a certificate from Musicians Institute and graduating from California State University Northridge with a B.A in music.
He has collaborated and recorded with a variety of different artists /bands and has played the famous circuit clubs in L.A.
Eric have been teaching at L.A Music and Art School for over seven years. He teaches all ages and all styles: Rock, Jazz, Bossanova, Latin, Classical and Ethnic. He emphasizes his lessons on the importance of reading notes, using the metronome, incorporating technical exercises that build strength and skills, teaching how to play a variety of beats in a variety of styles and the most importantly making the lesson as fun as possible. “Music is not a chore it is a pleasure and a fun experience”.
