Dear LAMusArt Family,
Like most of you, we have been tracking the exponential rise of COVID cases in Los Angeles County with growing concern and have made the difficult decision to delay the start of our year from Saturday, January 8 to Saturday, January 15, 2022.
In addition to our delay, all students and staff will be required to have proof of a negative COVID-19 test in order to come onto campus on their first day back. LAMusArt will honor LAUSD tests, PCR tests and antigen tests taken 5 days or less before your return to campus. If you or your student does not have access to testing, you may schedule a free testing appointment at https://covid19.lacounty.gov/testing/
We did not make this decision lightly and we thank you in advance for understanding that the safety of our students, teachers, administrators and community will always be our priority. To see what our safety guidelines are, please watch our safety video here.
For those enrolled in tuition-based programs, your online accounts will be credited for the cancelled lesson within the next 3-5 business days. We share your concern and if you wish to switch your private lessons to virtual, modify your schedule, or have any questions, the easiest way is to email us at ASanon@LAMusArt.org with your name, students name, and skype username. If you wish to talk to us, we are happy to help you during business hours, beginning at 8:00 am on Saturday, January 8 at (323) 262-7734.

Como la mayoría de ustedes, hemos estado siguiendo el aumento exponencial de casos de COVID en el condado de Los Ángeles con preocupación y hemos tomado la difícil decisión de retrasar el inicio de nuestro año escolar del sábado 8 de enero al sábado 15 de enero de 2022.
Además de nuestra demora, todos los estudiantes y el personal deberán tener prueba de COVID-19 negativa para poder ingresar al campus en su primer día de regreso. VACCINATION FOR STUDENTS AND FACULTY
Students (ages 12+) are strongly encouraged to be fully vaccinated and protected against COVID-19 before participating in in-person lessons and group classes. LAMUSART IS A VACCINATION SITE!
LAMusArt is partnering with the LA County Department of Public Health and Fulgent Genetics to be a resource for our community as a Vaccination Clinic and Testing Site on November 13 and December 4 from 9:00am to 4:00pm.
LA County is offering booster doses of the vaccine to people who received their second dose of Pfizer at least six months ago.
