In-Person Safety Guidelines


  • All administrative staff has taken COVID 19 training by the local health department and instructors have been briefed on protocols

  • All administrative and teaching staff have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

  • Students (ages 12+) are required to be fully vaccinated before participating in indoor lessons and group classes beginning on September 1. Free vaccine appoints at our campus and at other locations can be scheduled here: 

  • LAMusArt  completes & posts  any state and county required safety planning, tools and/or certificates



  • Temperature Check: Students and staff will be temperature screened at a kiosk before being admitted to campus    

  • Symptom Check: Please perform a self-screening for symptoms of COVID-19 before you arrive at LAMusArt.  If you are experiencing the following symptoms, please stay home.  Symptoms may appear 2–14 days after exposure to the virus. People with these symptoms may have COVID-19:

    • Fever/ chills

    • Cough

    • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing

    • Fatigue

    • Muscle/body aches

    • Headache

    • New loss of taste or smell

    • Sore throat

    • Congestion/runny nose

    • Nausea or vomiting

    • Diarrhea


Please DO NOT come to LAMusArt if you are experiencing or have recently experienced any of the symptoms listed above, or have been in close contact with anyone who has COVID-19 or had any of the above symptoms in the last 10 days and recommend you schedule a free city/county COVID-19 test and call our front office at 323-262-7734 to notify us. 


LAMusArt will issue a credit for a missed lesson(s) if you are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms if you call the front office two hours before your scheduled class to notify us of symptoms. Negative covid test results may be required to return to campus. 



  • Contactless check in and check out attendance by instructor

  • Please wait in your car prior to your lesson or in the benches in our courtyard if you are between lessons

  • Instructors and staff may be contacted via My Music Account on

  • Tuition payments, sheet music, attendance and any communications may be accessed via My Music Staff Account on



  • All students and staff wear masks when on campus (except when eating or drinking)

  • We provide extra masks for staff and students as needed in the front office

  • Floor markers indicate safe social distancing in common areas and pathways



  • Each classroom is equipped with new HEPA air filtration systems as well as a UV anti-bacterial and anti-virus filtration machine to reduce contaminated air. 

  • Students and staff practice frequent handwashing and hand sanitizing

  • We constantly sanitize high-touch surfaces for indoor and outdoor classrooms between use

  • Private lesson teachers will be disinfecting frequently touched surfaces

  • Sanitizer stations are spread throughout our campus



An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, senior citizens and those with underlying medical conditions are especially vulnerable. By visiting LAMusArt, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.


For the health and safety of our community, LAMusArt follows the guidance and protocols of federal, state and local public health agencies. Given the nature of COVID-19, this guidance is subject to change.
