Spring is nearly here and it’s time to begin setting the stage for our annual Concierto de Primavera. The excitement is growing as the students of the Los Angeles Music and Art School (LAMusArt) rehearse in anticipation of their annual community concert.
Our talented students and their teachers are sure to shake off your winter blues as they showcase their wonderful talent and dedication. Join us for an evening of musical performances honoring East Los Angeles College President Marvin Martinez on Saturday, April 5th at the new East Los Angeles College Performing Arts Center at 7 p.m.
Performances will include our 45 piece LAPCA Youth Orchestra performing arrangements of famous film scores, our Junior Orchestra and special melodies sung by the beautiful treble voices of LAMusArt soloists.
Twenty of our young student violinists and cellists will showcase their progress as participants of our String Outreach Program with KIPP LA- Raices Charter Academy.
Tickets are now available at the front office. There will be no day-of-performance tickets available, performance will sell out. All proceeds from the event will go towards fulfilling LAMusArt’s mission of providing quality and sequential lessons in the arts for our East Los Angeles youth.
