LAMusArt's Courtyard Stage Becomes the "Land of Sweets" at Ballet and Early Childhood Music Showcase

ree

LAMusArt transformed into the Bolshoi Theatre on December 6th as it welcomed its Ballet and Early Childhood students and their families to Land of Sweets: Tiny Tunes & Dancing Delights. Families walked into a winter wonderland as excitement for the show filled the air. As the lights dimmed, the stage glowed with wintry decorations that beautifully previewed the performance.

Land of Sweets began with selections from The Nutcracker. The Parent & Me Ballet Class opened with the “Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy.” The Pre-Ballet class followed with the “Waltz of the Snowflakes.” Ballet I stunned with “Mother Ginger and the Polichinelles.” Ballet II closed their section with the lively “Marzipan (Dance of the Reed Flutes).” Anna R. closed the ballet portion of the show with her solo rendition of the Spanish Dance (“Chocolate”).

Early Childhood Music, led by Ms. Tara Sanchez, closed out the evening with holiday classics such as “You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch” and “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.” The group also sang Latin American favorites “El Burrito Sabanero” and “Feliz Navidad,” which the audience adored.

As the little ones walked off stage, the audience was greeted with a graceful final bow from all of the ballerinas. Pride and joy filled the room as families made their way up to congratulate their students on an amazing performance.

LAMusArt would like to thank everyone in attendance for supporting our Ballet and Early Childhood Music classes. We would also like to extend a special thank you to instructors Ms. Tara Sanchez and Ms. Joan Fricke for their hard work and dedication in making this event magical.

Happy Holidays, and cheers to all!
