The Los Angeles Music and Art School (LAMusArt) is proud to announce the 17th annual Stars for the Arts Benefit Concert,honoring esteemed Drs. Rafael and Robert Mendez who are recognized for their dedication to arts education initiatives and lauded for their medical research and expertise in organ transplantation. The celebratory occasion will also feature a tribute to their father, Rafael Mendez, the late virtuoso trumpeter, renowned for his prolific and distinguished career.

Enjoy a sumptuous pre-concert VIP reception and silent auction at 6 p.m., followed by the concert at 8 p.m. Headlining the concert will be guest artist, trumpeter Gilbert Castellanos, recently recognized as a new American master byDownbeat magazine, and his New Latin Jazz Quintet. The concert will also feature the school’s LAPCA Youth Orchestra and select student soloists.
