Student Spotlight: Brianna Arias

Brianna Arias has grown up at LAMusArt. She started as a Mommy & Me Ballet student nearly a decade ago, and has continued to develop as a talented young singer, dancer, and actress. Over the years, she has partaken in private violin and voice lessons, our tuition-free KIPP Strings Ensemble, and beginning at the age of seven, Brianna joined her first production of Camp MusArt, which she has continued ever since.

“When I take classes here, I learn how to read music and the ballet positions that I still remember from when I was three!” says Brianna.

Brianna has progressed most notably as a musical theater performer, starring in several productions of Camp MusArt over the years. In 2016, Miss Arias starred in Suessical as Horton the Elephant, and last summer, she played the role of Simba in Camp MusArt’s production of The Lion King Jr, which played to two sold out audiences. When asked what her best memory of Camp MusArt is, Brianna states with certainty, “when I met all my camp friends.”

The Los Angeles Music and Art School has played a big part in Brianna’s artistic development, and has encouraged her greatest artistic goal: to become an actress and singer.

“I think LAMusArt is important because if you ever want to become a performer, it teaches you how to read music, know how to shift notes vocally, and to cooperate,” says Arias.

In addition to her artistic pursuits, Brianna is also an active athlete. She has participated in softball, basketball, and soccer, to name a few.

We are so proud of Brianna’s accomplishments and we look forward to seeing Brianna at camp this summer!
