Ruth Ferguson

Ruth Ferguson is a visual artist specializing in Painting and Drawing. Her work has been described as surrealist, featuring vibrant contrasting colors, organic and geometric symbolism, and fantastical imagery. Underlying themes of her work include the spiritual aspects of human identity and extraterrestrial life. The beauty of the cosmos, intuitive ancestral knowledge, and the subconscious mind heavily influence her work.

She became aware of her artistic abilities at a very young age and has been creating art ever since. Her work has been featured in the Women in Surrealism Exhibition (2018) at Los Angeles Southwest College where she studied Studio Arts. She also studied the foundations of art, such as color theory and 2D/3D design, at Otis College of Art and Design.
Most recently, Ruth has completed a mural in partnership with the City of Los Angeles and The Trust for Public Land as a part of the Green Alley Network Project. The project serves to provide clean and safe alley pathways for South LA neighborhoods.
